DSCN1794.JPGBosa is a picturesque town on the west coast of Sardegna, the Coral coast. The sea here has been designated one of the cleanest seas in Italy.

Ports and airports are within easy reach of this enchanting town. Travel to Sardegna by ferry from Genova or Roma to either Porto Torres (51 miles ) or Olbia (85 miles) or by plane to Alghero (33 miles), Olbia or Cagliari (96 miles). Whichever way you chose to travel, the drive to Bosa will take you along the stunning costal road or through magnificent landscapes.

In Bosa, you will find cafes, bars, restaurants, pizzerias, two large supermarkets, paneficio, gelateria, and artisan shops.

The central piazza is often the scene of nighttime "passigiati" (walks) and other cultural events, music and art festivals during the summer.

Near the ocean is the località of Bosa Marina that has dozens of beachfront bars and restaurants.  For those who want beaches far away from the "umbrella scene". . . all you have to do is go another 10 minutes away and find yourself on what seems to be a deserted island!  I will be happy to share with you how to arrive quiet and unpopulated beaches, trails and hikes.
